And just like that, it’s 2024!
I’m sure we all say the same thing — where did the time go? And that can be said for pretty much anything, no? But this is the last challenge for 2023, so let’s see how you did!
I hope the holiday season was great for everybody. Unfortunately, it was another green Christmas for us in my area of New York. I don’t mind snow, especially this time of year. And green and in the 40s for Christmas seems so wrong.

I made it to midnight for New Year’s Eve, so that’s a bonus! It’s hard to make it that late on a regular weekend day, so this wasn’t easy!
Christmas day here was nice. It was all family and even had the chance to have the old board game played after the day’s festivities.
These photos are merry for me, and of course has some Harper involved.
I hope looking ahead you all have a wonderful 2024. May health and happiness be with you and yours throughout the year. We will keep on going here with the challenge, the best we can. And for those doing the 20 Days of Chill… here’s hoping it goes off as planned!
Anyway, onward. Here’s my five for the month! Enjoy!
1. Harper on Christmas morning
It’s fun to watch Harper open gifts. While true that dogs likely don’t understand Christmas or other holidays, it’s still a fun experience. The Gumby was not this year (it’s always in her bed), but she opened the others (and the ball in the background) and then had some fun playing.

2. Head art
Cameron will come up with art pieces he wants our barber to put in his head. This year, we went the weekend of Christmas, so he had something in mind. Chris did a great job with this one!

3. New photo
My niece requested some new photos with my mother. Here’s one with the grandkids and her.

4. Christmas Eve
Shockingly … Harper chilled so I could get a Christmas Eve photo! I got her a sweater, but this is a one-time thing. She definitely like the sweater!

5. Snow?
OK, we got one day of snow earlier in December. The neighbor dogs came over … and there was a lot of merry!

BONUS!
OK, I didn’t take this one. But … we took a trip to New Jersey in between Christmas and New Year’s and this is one of the ones I liked a lot of me and Harper. Being merry!

There’s my five and let’s see what you came up with! If you took part in this month’s challenge, make sure to link up below.
And for those of you who participated, make sure you try and get to other people’s blogs and comment (here, too!).
Let’s continue to grow this challenge and have a strong community. Come back and check out the others who link later on, too! NOTE: We have a Facebook group for those who participate in the challenge and are interested. I’ll post any announcements there and hopefully it can be a place where things are discussed and some interaction etc. You can access it here.
** CHALLENGE CHANGE **
From this point forward, I am going to do the next theme at the bottom of each linkup. Also, the posting date will now be the first of each month, thus giving you the entire month to take the photos etc.
That means it’s a one-stop shop! Hopefully this helps out with everybody.
So, below is the linkup for September. Make sure you drop your link there.
OK, so it’s time to keep on moving! Welcome to January 2024! And our theme for the month? The Best! I hope you all have fun with this theme! Remember to come back on (hopefully) February 1 to link up and check out the theme for that month!

Aww, your Mom will cherish the picture with her grandkids, if you can even call them “kids”, they’re growing up so fast.
Love Cameron’s haircut, too bad he can’t see it himself!
Harper truly gets to lead her best doggy’s life! Gifts, a Holiday sweater, playing in the snow with friends! I’m sure she got some extra yummy treats, too.
Happy new year, P.J.! Thank you for keeping this challenge alive!

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized how important these photos are. I used to hate having my own photo taken, but I don’t mind anymore. It’s all part of memories. Harper definitely lives her best life! And thank you for continuing to be part of the challenge!
I’m in love with the photo of Harper by the Christmas tree! That. Is. Adorable. Looks like you were very merry this month in a lot of ways. Photos are wonderful ways of capturing treasured memories. I wish you and yours a bright and promising 2024!
The fact that I got Harper to sit there long enough for a photo is a miracle in its own right!
Another great set of photos. I enjoyed the bit about Cameron and the barbershop tradition a month or two back, so it’s pretty neat that you now posted a photo of an example of his hair art. I guess it grows out enough before the next cut to create a blank easel for the next idea. Harper got pretty spoiled (again), if you ask me. Good work! And I really like the sweatshirt you’re wearing in that bonus pic. Happy New Year to you and Harper. May it be the best one yet.
It’s been a fun new tradition with him. And he definitely enjoys having the art in the head. Harper always will be spoiled … I can’t complain there. I had to go look to see what sweatshirt I was wearing in the bonus photo … but I can see why you liked it! Haha
That doggy play date is something I can get behind! Great photos, once again. Looking forward to another year of great photos with this group. Happy New Year, my friend!
Doggy play dates are the best. They get gassed and it’s a lot of fun to watch. AND, as you can see, some great photos! Happy New Year!
