I’ve been a long-time proponent of enjoying nearby nature and it seems one of the few positives of COVID-19 is that many have developed a (renewed) appreciation for nearby parks and trails, flowers and critters. There are mostly empty-nesters on our street, so there isn’t a lot of chalk art, but when I walk a little further into the neighbourhood I like to stop and enjoy the messages and drawings, too. Hope you’ve found a pen pal by now. Your wax seal is really neat. And as for re-opening, it’s three weeks into June and we are in Stage 2 or 3 here in Alberta. With Canada Day coming up July 1st, there will be no parades, no fireworks, etc….that is going to be weird.

I’m with you, I have noticed so much more on my hikes and rides. I’ve also really learned to enjoy what I have in my own backyard, literally and figuratively. That bridge looks like such a cool find.

In reply to Tamara. In MA we're still in Stage 1 of 4. In stage 2, childcare reopens. I agree with PJ that I am fine waiting to end when it's safe. I'm not curve flattening all this time only to see a case spike!

I’m coveting your macro lens! That’s a gorgeous shot of the flower petals. I really need to get out to the parks more instead of just walking around the neighborhood. I think I could “work” by that stream all day! It’s very cool you want to be a pen pal and I can see where it might be difficult for a guy. Letter writing is a lost art. Maybe it will come back as we all tire of electronic communication now. I’ve always loved wax seals and had one when I was younger (and wrote letters!). We too in California are in Phase 2 of 4. It’s going to be a long summer. I thought about using chalk art I’ve seen over this month in my post, but then figured that others might, so I used a different kind of artwork that I’ve seen.

Really like the bridge photo. It just beckons me to come explore.

Stage 2 of 4? Oh man, you are in this for a long time! Sorry to hear your workload was upped. Glad you still get to go outside to walk and explore.
Love that bridge. It looks pretty abandoned, is it a bit away from the street or parking lot?
How are you liking your Chrome Book? I see you’ve got your own little mouse pad, cool!
