Interesting to see all the remarks on this winter’s snow. We’ve had far less than usual. Finally had a good snowfall the otherday (15+ cm = 6+ inches). Then yesterday afternoon I was sitting at my desk working when an explosion shook the house…then another…then a third. It took a few minutes to figure out it was avalanche control on a nearby mountain top. That was the first avi control just outside of town all winter!

I think it’s great that you and Harper keep geocaching. We have it on such a low simmer I only just got around to logging the one cache we found in Scotland last May plus the one we found in Greenland last July!

Haboob is a new word to me. Looked it up. A bit like our “chinooks” but they often come in winter and provide blessed relief from long stretches of freezing cold.

We had more snow this year than the last three combined! A snow blower would Neve work on our driveway since it’s about 90 feet long. A blade on the front of the riding lawn mower is necessary. Cabo likes the snow, but now the super cold temps. It hurts the pads on the bottoms of his feet if he’s out for very long. Harper looks like she’s sporting quite the winter coat! There’ll be lots of undercoat to brush out this spring! It’s really lovely you make time for your mom. I love that.
